Want to start editing video footage, was just wondering what software people use???? And how easy it is??
I have a canon 630i that came with some software but requires me to intstall a ieee1394 interface (fecking sounds like star-trek to me )

you need a firewire card thats all and the link cable from your camera to your pc.

i have the mv600i, its a doddle to download from them. for easy quick editing (basic) i have Ulead movie factory 2 (very easy to use), and for more sophisticated editing etc you want something like the latest Pinnacle or similar.

Is the fire wire card the one i got in the editing kit????

I have to install it in the computer and has ports on the outside??

best ive used is adobe premier quite expensive, but depends who you know

The only programme we use at Uni, and its the daddy as far as i'm concerned..

Hard to get the hang of, and pricey (£600ish) but as darren said.. depends who you know
