Default DEBT--How much debt are you in?

I think this could be a very interesting topic

Excluding mortgages (unless some was taken out to do house maintenance/car buying etc, then say)

I'll start, I currently owe about £650 on my car I bought, and that is it!

I personally wouldnt advise posting debts outstanding on a public forum.

I am sure many will though.

debt is all relative. numerical amounts mean very little unless compared as a percentage to your earnings. everyone would love to be debt free obviously but in todays world that can be very difficult to achieve as lives can change at the drop of a hat. debt is only a problem once it becomes unmanageable.

not all debt is bad debt - only if it's at a higher rate than inflation

My fleet of vehicles is mine all paid for ................fucking hate paying up for summit that if you really work hard you should be able to save up for it anyway.

I've never really had Debts. Mainly because I've never been one to like maintaining payments or having the responsibility so just go without or save up. Shame as there's a few things I would like and I know I could afford the payments but I won't.

around 3.7 on credit cards which includes 1500 for a car when the old one died and i needed a new one sharpish, couple of trips to usa to see family, couple of insurance policies on cars. all of which ive vowed to pay off straight away but havnt. shit myself when i realised how much interest i was paying on it the other day! gonna do some jigling about and try and get the interest down a bit at least! i owe a couple of k left on a loan i got to set myself up with tools and a vehicle about 18 months ago to go self employed.

im happy to say my car (the fiesta project car) has all been paid for and none of it put on credit. not to bad really i dont think, i couldve kept it down a bit and gone without stuff but i havnt taken the piss and dont struggle with repayments so fuck it i say. i want it all gone by the end of the year though.

there is a credit card that has a low 'fixed for life' interest rate that may be worth transferring to. don't know which, just heard www.moneysavingexpert.com talking about it on the radio the other day

A lot less than 2 and a half years ago I finally decided to sort things out with my finance at that time, get everything worked out and have not been better off than I am now
