New van, which one
Guys ive got a vauxhall combo just now but its coming up on 5 years old now and going to get something new soon, torn between the vw caddy and the transit connect with the higher roof, but which one though

70/90/115 bhp versions
plus you can get all the kit for them that you'd get in a normal car, such as ac, parking sensors that sort of thing
they do have a tendancy to eat tyres though, none of ours have lasted more than about 20k before they were right ont he limit, but that might be because we do a lot of town driving as opposed to motorway munching
but other than that, i can't really fault them apart from this stupid thing where you have to turn the ignition off before you can use the remote to unlock the rear doors, that REALY gets on my tits

on the subject of small vans, wtf is the peugeot bipper all about? what self respecting straight man van driver is going to drive around in a thing called a bipper ffs

Id stick with the combo mate. Mines never missed a beat in 120k, all ive had to do is an airflow meter along with the normal service items. From hearing peoples views who own both, the combo seems to be the most economical, so thats a bonus if you do plenty of miles.
Not saying the connects are bad vans, but i think its better to stick with what you know, and the combo has obviously been reliable enough for you to keep it 5 years.
If you do go for a connect, make sure you self tap the bumper corners on! The amount of connects i see with these missing on the roads you wouldnt beleive.

Very good point that and its suprising how many people are totally unaware of this. In fact that was one of the reasons why i went for the combo.

mind you, our's are well secured with a safe-t-bar so nothing's going to knock them off, bent the bar a bit and fucked the sharan up, but a few bolt slater off it came and we were ready to rock and/or roll
