Default Tips on getting petrol out of fuel tank

As some of you know i was in a crash yesturday and ive now got a hire car

There's £30 worth of fuel in my KA and the KA aint ever gonna use it because it's fucked and im not leaving £30 worth of fuel in it especially how expensive fuel is ATM.

Anytips on removing it from the tank??

Ive already tried cyphering the fuel with a hosepipe and had no luck.

Any tips would be apreciated

that doesn't work on some modern cars as if they don't see fuel pressure after a set time then it switches the pump off, mk2 mondeos do this as I found out recently

as to another way, just ask a pikey they have it down to a fine art now!!

Use a smaller diameter pipe to syphon the water aswith a hosepipe, it needs some serious sucking to draw the intial head of fuel to set the syphon up. also make sure it really is at the bottom of the tank by measuring the pipe your inserting.

disconnect the fuel feed in the engine bay, run a wire from the positive of the battery to the positive terminal on the pump, and let it flow out

Nah, they just take the whole car...

Short of dropping the tank mate, I can't offer any intelligent suggestions, as I expect the pump's not gravity fed.

So there's about a gallon in it then?

That last line REALLY doesn't make any sense y'know!

Now, "I'm not leaving 5 gallons in it, especially how expensive fuel is ATM" that would make sense
