FAO Transit drivers
What MPG are you getting? mine seems to be friggin awfull, just worked it out on the last tank and i reckon i'm getting 26-28 mpg mixed driving in a 2.5 non turbo.
Worked it out the other week and on the way to central day it did 32 on the motorway sat between 65 and 70 all the way, no flooring it to overtake etc.
Last week i replaced the vacuum pipe to the EGR coz i had noticed the T piece had disintegrated but it wasn't pulling air
put a new pipe on and it struggled to idle when cold, ended up pulling it all apart and washing the EGR unit and inlet manifold in petrol coz it was 1/4 inch thick in carbon/oily shit all the way through, presumably the egr had stuck slightly open and all the pipework blocked up.
anyway i cleaned it and put it back together with a plate on top of the manifold to blank off the EGR and stop this happening again.
Is this MPG normal then or have i still got something amiss?
