Someone has just told me that any ford with a registration plate ending in YOO has been either a show car, press car or pace car, basically they been used for publicity, which makes them worth a bit more. Is that true?
My ERST reg is G### YOO.

dont think so m8.think they were just registered to ford.my 2wd saff was G408 YOO and it was owned by a director at ford 1st.it was v late registered tho at only 1 week b4 H plate!

my old XR4x4 was owned by Ford in Wakefield for 2 years before been sold onto its 1 owner before i got it - registration was "H787 MNO" dont make it special tho - probably used it to sit in the rain and block pikeyvans

My old Sapphire Cosworth was G86 BOO and owned by Ford for a year or so at first registration... Afraid it doesn't make the car worth more imo!

my missus old mk5 rs2000 was K***AAV and that was a ford owned car before the next owner

Mates saph cos is an ex press car, one of the first 4wd. it ends in ATW but wasnt registered until 2 years after it was built

the following number plates were all registered in Chemslford as this is the nearest dvla office to fords at Dunton or Warley, where most of these cars were used, living in this area i get used to seeing the plates. atw ,boo, tev ,yoo, bpu ,uoo ,mnoand many others,the only one not recognised is avv as this was registered in Peterbourgh.Hope this is a help even though its a bit
