Anyone used these guys? I want a power run done and they're only down the road from me.

I just don't want my engine blown up in the process!!

I managed 30 miles in it this weekend and nothing fell off maybe its turned over a new leaf!! In all fairness the problems have been down to my heavy right foot I blew it up, and the electrical probs were caused by heat melting wires.

Sebspring - were they good? Knew what they were doing etc?

nothing has fell off mine in a while! just a jacking point cover a couple of months back so i took the one off the other side so i dont lose it, just need to find a nice Si or gti local so i can get a spare

what sort of power are you expecting ? as for the heavy right foot yours seems to be a bit lightweight these days, maybe i should test it for you ? i can break N/A engines... got a sprint day booked in the RS2000 in a few weeks, hopefully it will hold together

Think of it as weight saving

Hoping around 400/400. Karl said its a very, very quick t34 car, and I think the new head should help with the torque. If it doesn't do 400 I won't really mind as I do like how it drives (occassionally!) now, but it would be nice to have the bragging rights.

Weston Performance have one of the best reps in the UK lately, way better than Thor.

They map all the Driftworks cars, amongst other big power motors.

Weston are one of the few tuners id trust TBH.

And FFS, you only having a RR run!

Cool!

I know its only a power run, but with the calamity of problems I've had recently and no money to keep fixing it I want to go somewhere I can trust.

bigchez: Me cousin got his scooby setup by them about 2 years ago he goes they were ok.

I took me other cousins EVO 8 to them last year has it was running a wee bit lean. I thought it'll be a matter of just adjusting the fuelling etc like the cossi's but we never knew the EVO ECU's are locked and you need to purchase a license. So the car was put on the rollers were it showed it was running lean (which we knew anyway and told them when we booked it) and the guy comes upto me and says its going to cost Ł600 to sort it out

I mean if i knew that i wouldnt have taken it to them as theres loads of well know EVO tuners. Ended up paying them Ł120 or soming for a power run

They are 2 minutes from my house.they have a great reputation with the jap stuff.
But i know a guy who took his escort cossie there fro an engine rebuild and they took ages.He had it back and it was miss firing so they had it back to re do it.

But if your just going for a power run then you should be fine.

Last year ,the day before i sold mine i took it for 1 last burn down the long road next to WESTON PERFORMANCE.Was giving it some ,then i looked in my rear view mirror only to see right up my arse 20 evo,s & scooby going to a rr day there.
I like to think i was out running them.

Hmmm, well I called in earlier to see about booking the power run.

Very swanky showroom with a full on EDC car in there etc, and spoke to a guy there who knew his stuff but they want Ł75 for just a power run or Ł99 + vat for a run with diagnostics which strikes me as a bit dear really.

Its only to find out what its running as it was live mapped a month ago by Karl @ NMS so shouldn't really need any tweaking.

How much has anyone else paid for a run? I thought they were about Ł40!

I paid about that, there, but it was on an organised RR Day, 20 or so cars.

It's a controlled environment enclosure with viewing area or it was over a year ago.
