Default any Evo boys fancy giving me some advice

I always liked them and wanted one for a long while.
Im in a situation now that i think i could afford one.

problem is i dont really know much about them.
i should have somewhere around the 10k mark, could stretch slighty higher for the right car.

didnt want to go much older than a 6 really.

any advice on what ones to look for and anything i should know before i start looking for one.

also what actually is the difference between the tommi makinen ones and the normal ones?
and are they worth paying a bit more and would they hold their value better for when i sell it on?

any info would be great.

cheers in advance

yeah pretty sure it'll end up being a 6. dont think i could afford anything younger. but i am tempted with a tm one as i guess it would hold its value.

i'll get on MLR and have a look. not sure if i should look for a standard one or one thats had money spent on it as i can imagine i wouldnt leave it standard for that long.

you not happy with the nova or you just fed up of the stigma attached

after going out in sketchs and SiB's evo im VERY tempted to sell the scooby and buy one

looking at gary at APT's one almost gives me a hard on too !!!

but im too tight and the way the country is going financially i dont think id risk it

may be selling the scooby though anyway and using the BMW again

not sure if i'd sell the nova tbh. not straight away anyway.

ive just always loved them and wanted one and could afford one now so kind of thinking why put it of, might as well bite the bullet and treat my self.

i do like the TME, and like the idea of probably being able to sell it in a year or 2 for not a huge chunk less than i'd pay for one.

But at the same time im not sure how standard i'd leave it so for that reason i might be better off getting a normal 6.
i prefer the 6 to the 7.

anyone know any performance car dealers around east london/essex way.
or any idea how much a mg zr is worth for a trade in now days. or am i gonna have to pay someone to take it off me? lol

cheers mate, still just cant decide.

just seen a nice 6 in white for sale. 10k 360bhp with a nice lits of stuff done to it.
makes you think better of going for something like that rather than paying a few grand more than that for a TME

cheaper for a reason imo, if a 7 is cheaper than a 6 it shows which has the mass of depreciation

imo you cant beat a 6 for looks across the full evo range

Go for the 6 and you can always add tommi bits if that's the look you're after. You'll get a bargain at the moment if you're cheeky.

I've driven the newer cars and they feel a bit more lethargic, they do seem more planted at high speed cornering though but not as fun feeling IMO
