Default Magnesium wheel refurb...whats required?

Need to get my split rim's centres refurbed and also a colour change is required. I know I need to get them media blasted first as sand blasting will kill them but, what's next? Cant powder coat from what I understand so is it a case of etch primer then paint? And, can I use dead 90's rap star paint or has it got to be celly??

Cheers
Stu.

Soft media blast - think it some sort of nut shell.

Then powdercoat immediately - or if you cannot, you have to paint.

You know what, I never thought to look on the bbs website, just assumed they would be obsolete by now I can feel my card getting a kicking now...bbs paint and centre caps along with new stickers etc. Will look into x-raying them...ive found a metals specialist near me that do the like's of shot peening etc so maybe they could help me (cant see my local hospital being of much use lol)
