perhaps he was of theo nion that by scamming lots of peole for a few quid it would go unnoticed as opposed to scamming one person out of squillinos

worth setting up a batcave to get to the bottom of this though

Stucos / YBJ, sounds like a good example of why proper postage is a must have between two genuine users, sounds like you guys are falling out over something that is actually the post office's fault.

Stucos should have insisted on charging you for tracked postage, or not sent it at all, IMHO but if that could be kept to the other thread instead it would be appreciated as its NOTHING like this issue of a deliberate scammer.

Especially If going overseas, it's madness and a false econemy NOT to use a tracked service ... But anyway, back on topic, Chip, have you contacted the Police? I actually found they were quite helpful when you report somone for fraud, especially when there are other users

Not reported it mate no, will see what we can dig up first, the more they have to go on the better I guess, but TBH I know it will just be a load of aggro for me filling out forms and fuck all will happen, suppose one of us needs to though just on the off chance they manage to do anything.

I was chasing a guy ( some might know him, G.N.S / genesis engineering / theygotmetoo) for a freind through Ebay, as he had paid and recived nothing in 8 weeks... Tried all the normal forms of contact, all the ebay contact details were false, linked to a soliciters in dorset , luckily I managed to get his details from people on here, but the cunt was a total scammer, even his company was ex-directory, and when I rang his mobile he denied who he was ....

A few other people PM'd me with similar stories, so we contacted Essex police over the phone, and they were MORE than helpful , and even after my mate recived his goods they rang up a few weeks later making sure that there were no more problems.

The internet is a good hunting ground for scammers, but don't give up, someone somwhere will know him and give out thier details , and to be fair the Police are shit hot with stuff like this, start the ball rolling now if I were you while it is recent and all the records are fresh

Hi Chip

I hate arseholes like that, ok it's only Ł40 and you will get by, but it's so annoying to be 'taken' by a low life.

heres what that wanker 'Dominic' said to me in a PM a couple of years ago,
"CAN YOU PLEASE EDIT YOUR POST AND REMOVE MY ADDRESS.
THANKS DOMINIC"

I wonder if he's still on Passionford using another name, maybe it's screwball. If it is I have his address.

apologies Chip for hijacking your thread.

Lets also hope that 'Screwball' doesn't appear using another name.

kenny.

You cant find anything useful out from an IP address, especially if it comes up as the IP address for virgin trains or mcdonalds etc, if you want to be anonymous on the net, you can.

So we could potentially have an address?

The plot thickens.

what passionford should do is make it a rule that all sales include a picture which includes a piece of paper that says 'Passionford' and the date what this ensures is that the person actually has the object for sale and not taken a picture from elsewhere.

its a start

Dont know the exact meaning for the word scammer. Scammers can find all kind of excuses why the paidfor items havent been received. But if a seller after a lot of pm's for action by the buyer finally fills in a missing form and then also keeping the insurance money for it for himself, not even paying that back to the person to who it belongs is double wrong and therefor it is a part of this thread IMHO. A good user from here would do anything to try to solve it, he didnt at all, just making more money of it.

i bought a focus reiger bumper before christmas for Ł140,paid pay pal with my credit card. when it arrived it was some cheap fiberglass cracked pile of sh1t. complained to the seller who bassicly told me where to go. so i contacted my credit card with all the details and emails that had been sent. i received my money back in full, and ive still got the tossers bumper

so only ever pay pay pal with your credit card as you have buyer protection then

it would be good business to set up a ebay debt collection service. it might only be 40 quid, but agencies can charge say 50 on top for paying them a visit, that way the debt can soon mount up into hundreds.then take them to court, and get the court bailifs to recover your money.
