Default FAO Fast Ford Readers... Looking for some feedback.

Hi, Thanks for stopping by!

Over teh past couple of issues, i have dealt with compression ratios in both static and dynamic form and wondered how you as readers got on with the article and if you learnt anything or were left confused?

Ive had some mixed reviews from customers through the door and knew from teh start it was a hard one to try and put across to such a wide audience, so thought i would ask here and see what you thought.

genuinely want the feedback both good and bad, so dont spare my feelings, let rip or i will never improve what i write for you.

If anyone wants to discuss it further in order to clarify the subject, without straying too far off topic, feel free.

Is it possible to view them in pdf yet Stu? I've read all the ones published online and have been left educated to say the least but the ones you mention I cannot view. Is it possible yet or not?

Afraid not, all available PDF versions can be found here:
http://www.motorsport-developments.co.uk/stus.html

And of course here:
http://www.fastfordmag.co.uk/page/fa.../Tech%20Guides

Quite rightly, the issues are only released to the public domain once all back issues have been sold and the possibility of lost revenue expired.

Been very, very good fella. I'm a mechanical mong, and even I understood what I was reading!

I don't know if its down to FF space constraints, your undoubtedly busy sdchedule or a combination of the 2 but in some places you seem to have had to para-phrase and cut down on the technicalities - is there any chance of something like you did with the 10 most common cossie faults (only 10??!! ) and do some more in depth techy stuff, and pick 10 points to expand on? Or maybe a pros and cons of high vs low comp and where each might be best (outright power, low down torque, reliability, cost etc.)

Your crap Stu, it made no sense...

Only messin'. Personally, I thought it made perfect sense. Enjoyed your comparison between the alternative fuels and its effects. Keep it up!

been brilliant so far what i've read anyway.

Would love to see a big write up on mapping though (unless i've missed it)
How and why you decide on a specific map and how you check/diagnose good and bad maps for the engine in laymen's term's and well everything
Keep up the good work mate

top work stu iv built a few motrors in my time but never really got to involved with comp ratios
as it sounded a ball ache to start altering things & your tech info defo made it easyer to understand what is going on in the motor & what needs doing to keep things ballenced in the combustion chambers

Static and Dynamic compression ratios?

I'm guessing you mean one that stays the same always and one that changes when needed/forced?

I only know about hardware routers for data networks, and know jacque schitt about engines, and presuming they MAY be similar.

On another note, I have read your topics in FF before and they have been very intuitive and even something I could understand, so I guess you are going in the right direction!

ADIABACTIC or as called here DYNAMIC can be measured if you have the kit, or it canm be calculated.
