Chip will Neil be taking the car to Mark now? its gunna be awsome fun when its finished!
And the last time you took your car to marks it was running!

I have been here, never paid for it as the map was utter shite, had massive issues and i cannot help but think that it helped contribute to my cars engine blow up. Was told "yep it all running spot on and you can collect it", went to get it and was told "o sometimes there is a big missfire as your driving it but its only occasionally" My fucking arse, it was all the time.

Took it to Mark and within 30 min it was running spot on.

No car wasnt running Rick last time i took it up! due to people calling me a "gypo" for running coil and distributer! lol. i changed it to coilpack/dizzyless, but sm2 needed a dwell board to run the vaux coil pack!.

Are they an ECUTEK mapper?

That will narrow it down a fair bit.

i missed out the first 3 pags of "is it him? " posts and cut straight here to see if names had been mentioned yet. unsurprisingly i see its still "is it him?" shite.
if starting threads like this names should be named at least to stop innocent tuners having their names dragged through the mud.

No innocent tuner has been dragged through any mud that Ive seen.

Have explained my reason for not naming them, people who want to see name and shame threads should look somewhere else, as this still isnt one currently, if it turns into one I'll change the title to reflect that, so that should save people lots of effort trawling through it to see if there is a name yet

Anybody that buys a Ecu from me has a list of recomended tuners/mappers that I know will do a good job as I have either trained them or they just know what they are doing anyway.

As I understand it, this thread is just to state a cowboy job that some "respectable" tuner has done on a car. Nothing new here I don't think....

Even the best of the best sometimes let their egos get in the way and do a one off wank job on a car. And you have the proof Chip that company "X" has done a shit job on your mate's car. I'd wait to see the result because if they are half decent, they should refund your mate and ADMIT it was THEIR mistake. If they continue to be cunts then name and shame. I totally depise those who make a hash of things and don't admit they are wrong.

It is a fucking disgrace to only have 4 different numbers in a VE table !!

I can see why chip doesnt want to name and shame as it isnt his motor but I think
the point of the thread is to show you that even the pro's get it wrong sometimes !!

If only all business were as caring and paid attention to detail like me

Simon it isnt that bad only having 4 numbers in the VE table as Autronic is always targeting more fuel for rev/load/tps angle charge temp and a target AF table, as its based on injector sizing for cylinder volume and compression ratio so which makes the base VE table just a trim table so it needs less load points than you think,
I hope I explaned in the correct way, The bit I am not inpressed with was not using the airtemp sensor as this would have been running at a limp home mode.

Mark, without meaning to teach my grandma to suck eggs, you seem to be forgetting that without the right values in the VE table it wont be able to perform the calculation it needs to in order to make any use of the target AFR table!

The target table needs to be right to make the VE table work the way it was desigend to, if not you end up with the VE table looking very odd and it not performing correctly,
Email me the map.

The target table was fine, no issues there at all, 12.6 flat out, 15 ish on cruise etc.

Problem was, it was getting NOWHERE near those because the VE table was so far out it didnt know how to achieve them.

Ive not got the map or Id post it up, Ive asked Neil to get me a copy but he is struggling to extract it from his old mapping laptop to the internet, lol

Tried it with the airtemp disconnected still as they had left it, and it wouldnt even start, so connected it up and got it running with it.
