Default Telling a quaife diff (RWD Saff)

Going to look at a Cossie this week, just wondered is there any way to be able to tell its defo got a quaife? As the owner says it does but no receipt.

take the back plate off,only a few bolts,and catch the oil,then check,refit the plate and put new oil in,15 minute job.

is there a gasket for the rear cover? as mine diff is weaping slightly from the rear back plate. so want to remove and refit.

NO gasket!

Removing the diff plate in situ will mean removing the rear mount (4x 13mm bolts to the chassis) and 2 (19 or 17mm bolts to the diff casing) and then 8 or 9 (T45 or T50 torx bit) bolts that hold the cover on... Just so you know how easy it is

yeah had a look under there, seems very straight forward, just wanted to check before i did it so i could get the gasket before hand.

guess its just trusty ford gasker sealer then.

is there a way to check the condition of the unit?
