Well I spent the best part of 7 hours last night in totally stripping the entire car and cleaning all the bearings and re greasing the diffs and cleaning all the shit off. So before you all get bored with the specs here she is











The car is a standard HPI R40 that has a Picco P1-R .15 modified engine, RD Logics Turbo II pipe and HPI Savage X high performance air filter. Radio gear is compromises of Hitec Eclipse Pro TX and hitec servos with Futaba Micro Receiver.

My list of mods:

Atsushi Hara Edition Shocks
Carbon Fibre Front shock tower
Carbon Fibre bumper bracket
CNC front roll bar mounting
CNC shaft covers
Action Tyres foams all round
Venom Smart Temp monitor.

To understand this in terms of real cars, it's probably along the lines of a Fiesta 2.1 Zetec Turbo with some serious coilovers and suspension mods! This is a proper track weapon and not a just a straight line jockey. Anyway thought I'd share my hard work with you lot

ive got a hpi mt2 and that thunder tiger from the magazines mt2 is great fun up the horse field goes about 4 foot in the air off mole hills

 

cool but those air filters are shite lol

no one rates them

 

they are the best filters to be honest mate. motorsaver filters have a very large area and are also made of two sections which is an inner foam coated with oil and an outer foam for added protection. I've sworn by them and I find they perform miles better than any other filter for both filtration and airflow

 

mate, i have a savage & that comes standard, on the forum i go on, that is the first thing everyone changes, they really are poor, there so crap i cant be assed to explain why they are lol

 

Pani You can set mine up if you like ... Not used it in over a year. I keep on braking the titanium drive shafts

 

sidewayz, its not the standard savage filter, its the high performance version. Also, I don't use my car anywhere other than tarmac so even if it were the case the filter was crap, I am not too worried about getting dirt inside the engine which is where a lot of your fellow Savage owners may have a point if they run on very rough and dusty terrain they may prefer enclosed filters.

Doug, you still running a fusion? Their driveshafts are a weak link and the wheels hubs and also Schumacher are notorious for crappy breakable parts.

 

Got the moddified Menace' Have a bit of trouble getting the power down. As soon as it hits 3rd ALL HELL BRAKES LOOSE lol.

I need a new top deck iirc and it dose have a lot of uprated parts on it
