Default Any Scoooobey Experts?

Just looking for a little light to be shone on this:

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/501632.htm

Whats the difference between and WRX & an STi?

Why would you fit STi part to a WRX? Are the STi's better?

Anyone know the owner or the car as its only in Essex....

Cheers!

I don't the car and it looks like those are the only sti parts that have been fitted. You can fit anything from an sti to a wrx and the sti intercooler is much better than the wrx one. I'd suspect that the rear spoiler isn't a genuine one.

The sti is a better car because it comes with more power, better interior, better brakes, wider wheels etc

i've been in a 04 (approx) WRX with STi bits and a remap and it went like stink. but before the remap it wasnt that quick to be honest.

the WRX brakes arent exactly amazing especially when the power has been upped.

beware, that that WRC will be Ł415 to tax next year and Ł430 after that (hence why alot of people are selling them and why the values have been hit)

But this is a WRX, i've checked the Parkers tax guide and it says

Subaru Impreza Saloon (00-05)
2.0 WRX AWD Turbo 4d

Rates effective from 13 March 2008
Date of Registration 6 Months 12 Months Band CO2 (g/km) 1 Jan 2003 – 1 May 2005 Ł115.50 Ł210.00 F 219
Is that the right model car?

That sounds right because it's a uk car, it's imports that are going to hit hard

the wider wheels are on the sti models with the brembo brakes not the subaru brakes the track is wider on the brembo eqiped cars too due to wheel et to clear the massive brembo's.sti's don't all come with brembo's
there are more models of subaru's that there are womens shoes lol

the 4wd WRX i looked at on parkers came up with 242g/km

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/road-tax/?deriv=20141

but the one they list as AWD is 219g/km?

i just did a vehicle enquiry on my mates number plate on his subaru WRX, (on the DVLA site) and his has come up as 242g/km

so theres your answer, WRX's as of 2009 will be Ł415, and as of 2010 they will be Ł430

i read (on an official source but cant remember where) that its all supposed to be frozen for a few years after that, but they have already moved the goalposts once and whose to say we'll still have the same government then so it could all change again.
