We have a 6 man (or lady ) Coast Spa one bought it about 6 years ago it was around Ł8K, we use it regularly and our lad thinks it's cool as well, the trouble we'll have as he gets a bit older god only knows
things to think of are, can you get it in the garden? are you planning on moving anywhere? I moved about 12 months ago and it had to be craned in over the house cost me Ł1500
mine costs about Ł30 per month in electricity, then you have your consumables like Chlorine/filters and such. I would suggest NOT buying a cheap one as the cheaper ones have crap pumps and also leak heat like no tomorrow! A new pump costs about Ł300 for mine and it has 2 and one has just started making a funny noise dammit!!!
definately get one with a lie down bed and get your tub positioned so you can lie there with cold beer, a good car mag and soak up some rays
If you want something to go round it, have a look they are fooking expensive Ł2,000 starting price for a few bits of wood with a roof!
Also, get one with a finish that doesn't show up the marks, we have a blue speckled one and it looks as good as the day we bought it some of the more bling ones look shit after a while.
Before buying one, see the model your buying working and get all the jets, fountains, volcano's going and make sure the pumps are up to it.
Finally try and get one with a volcano, it spurts water out the floor upwards and creates a big fountain on top of the water you can control the strength and all I'm sayin is the ladies seem to find a use for it
Be prepared for a sudden influx of friends
This is similar to mine:

I have a Manhattan and it's great.
I didn't pay 10 for it, it was Ł5k on special and it took 3 months to arrive.

Here's ours, cost Ł6.5K approx 5 years ago (they weren't so common then !).
Had to get proper (40amp) electricity to it which was another little outlay in cable, etc...
The base, and building around it was extra
As said above, take running costs into account, it all adds up and needs regular cleaning, emptying, refilling, etc...
Ours is a SpaForm 7 seater (seats 6 comfortably), Grand Canyon I think it's called.
It's great though
