Only cars pre 1972 I think can have them by law! I had them on my Mini and got several Ł30 fines

i got a pull on the m62 tonite on the way home from cumbria, fair play to the coppers i didnt get a fine he just gave me a 14 day defect notice

I've been very lucky i think, they've been on mine for months and i've been pulled over twice and they've never mentioned it, i think it depends on the police officer really.

ea, unless the car origanally came with the plates they must be the standard white and yellow. You can use them as show plates no problem. My mate even got pulled for having pressed plates on his 106.
