know how you feel mate,i had one of mine slammed in a door for me at school years back.it looks a bit fooked up now 
and is more sensitive than the others.but its ok.
mrs diva wont be using that hand from now on will she! you'd better be good with the other one bud or she will be pleasuring herself

ouch thats gonna hurt for ages
i worked on the deli at asda and was slicing meat with one of those 10" odd blades. shut the thing down and lifted the guard to remove the meat end and the blade was still spinning. it sliced the tip off the same finger as you have done. luckily it was all above the nail end. it doesnt look nearly as bad as you have done and it was unbelievably sore. the nerve endings when touched can send the biggest pain right through you. i think i was bandaged for 5-6 weeks and when i started driving a managed to bash it on the wheel a couple of times and its not nice!
now my finger has kinda grown the shape back but theres a strange scar and i have no feeling in the finger tip, its horrible.

my old man trimmed the ends of the middle, ring and little fingers on my left hand with a electric planner a good few years ago
we put plasters on it and then i had to drive to hospital by myself with my mum changing gears
then i was sick in one of them little cardboard hats they give you
took a month worht of bandages to fix that lot
lost the tip of my index finger on my right hand wheni fell of a bike and got it chewed up in the chain
that only took a week to heal

just finding my feet
i cut the tip of mu thumb off at school, also sliced my finger open and cut a vein on the right hand during a " argument "

btw anyone noticed that even though hes bleeding to death hes STILL got a happy smile on hes face,,,,, as if hes just scratched hes finger or something,,,,,, not to mention i thik its the first time hes posed for a camera pmsl

Testing the future
looks nasty - i did a similar thing when i moved the guard of a moving angle grinder with cutting disc and sliced the end off my index finger on my left hand. luckily it grew back completely normal.
i have a finger on my right hand that was shut in a door at primary school that never recovered properly though. but instead of a short nail, it has an extra long one
