After throwing upwads of 10k and countless man hours getting flithy, frustrated or driving to collect parts or services in the last 12months.
My saff coss is still being a shit
.
After changing numerous inlet parts for a few hours yesterday to no avail , (I still have an idle/ALS problem which means I will have to spend more time and money having the fault fixed at a tuner at the other end of the country) I shut my bonnet with a little to much aggresion and smashed a headlight.![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)

1) Your using a modded throttle body that has been bored out too far and teh ISCV wont seal.
2) The ECU is driving teh valve as it thinks the throttle is open when its not.
Its "Normally" one of the 2.

Have you changed the idle valve and checked it has power to it?
Have you checked your TPS is working properly? 0-5v.
If you have no air leaks then it can only be the chip keeping the valve open at the wrong time? Which would be strange as by the sounds of it stu doesn't normally make that kind of mistake.

Got to be an air leak then.
Do you have a compressor that you can use to pressurise your system and then put a bit of fairy liquig in a squirty bottle and squirt round all joints / fittongs / gaskets etc.

He is using mine mate. He got a wierd high idle problem after picking it up and this normally means 1 of 2 things.
1) Your using a modded throttle body that has been bored out too far and teh ISCV wont seal.
2) The ECU is driving teh valve as it thinks the throttle is open when its not.

Agreed, however, it worked all the way home and while we had it, although once we had a high idle and couldnt trace it, then it dissapeared when we changed the idle valve so we presumed it was that, so we know its not the software. All very odd and bad news for Nick sadly. ![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Tremona in Soton no good, before trekking across country?
Just thinking to save money, and see you're local.
Not read whole thread though...
All the best with it.
