can you make these chatter? if so is it a case of an air filter my mates just got one and wants too know if its possible cheers in advance

yes you "can" if you insist.. remove and blank the standard recirculating dump valve and fit a cone type filter in place of the airbox.
It's quite possible the engine fault lamp will light periodically as the system can in some conditions identify that the valve isn't working correctly. Also consider that the K03 turbo has a very thin shaft compared to a cossie T-type so may be prone to problems due to compressor stall.

Typical remark from someone who know's nothing about these cars.
Perhaps we should've left cossies alone when dibble were using them as well eh?
Also, yea they chatter when the dv is blanked, but you'll have an error from the N249 valve if you dont do it properly, and as Rich said, the turbo is tiny tiny!

not all were 3.5 rover v8's they had the lovely 4 cylinder 2 litre O series engine the 2.3 6 cylinder and the 2.6 6 pot these engines were pants british leyland at it's finest ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
the rover v8 was a general motors throw back not a britsih leyland engine perhaps thats why it was ok lol
