Default t4 4x4 saff

can anyone please give me some advice on fitting a t4 on a 2wd manifold to a 4x4? it's starting to do my head in! i have most of the parts i need but when i have gone to fit the turbo oil feed pipe from a 2wd and it's now in the way of the oil filter! i have tried removing the arm that the filter fits to so that the oil filter could be mounted staight to the oil cooler but there isn't enough clearance there either which has puzzled me because i seen a escort cossie with a 2wd manifold with the oil filter mounted in this place? do i have to get a special short oil filter? any help will be wicked! i got to get it done now the car has a 2.3 collins engine with all rs500 parts and 8 greens and so far i have only seen what it can do running with a t34! help i wanna know what the bang of a t4 feels like!

or just change tha filter for one from a 1.8 zetec escort - it is thinner & a little longer so approx same capacity & it will give you enough clearance
