I think swearing, or complete swear words should not be allowed in the titles of topics other than in the Muppet room.

B***ocks is ok but not BOLLOCKS so everyone sat behind you at work can see when you open the home page.

I am glad that Stu has changed the settings so titles from the muppet room like "have you ever shit yourself" or "have you ever fisted a girl" appear in the box on the home page

Fair enough on thread titles.
Especially as the thread title becomes the page description, which means its what google will attempt to index, and potentially lots of swearwords could see the site sandboxed im led to believe, although Ive never had that happen personally on any site Ive worked with as commercial sites tend not to include words like fuck or cunt in the title, lol, so its only a rumour im repeating rather than stating as a fact.
Anyone else know if there is any truth in it?

 

I think words like fuck, cunt, fisting and felching are not words suitable for topic titles, but are great words in the threads.

but why not just put every swear word into some sort of filter and change it to another word, of a less vulgar nature but still meaning apprently the same thing?

"bollocks" could then become "testicles", "fuck" would be become "fornicate", etc, etc

imagine the useage of words to mean somethng else

on driftworks they do that, if you type fuck it comes out as frick etc.

trouble is it can fuck up links if you arent careful how its implented
