Default Can you lose lots of oil through a loose dip stick tube

I used 4 litres of mobil 1 over the weekend, its basicaslly dripping from underneath, (off ARB),

Checked the dip stick tube and its loose, would there be enough presssure to force it out of there, if not whats the likley culprit, (i know its not sump or flame trap)

Only peaking 27psi boost and i do have a breather kit

as said, 4lts is A LOT to loose from purely bening force at, as the dipstick is above oil level, so will only be forced out whilst driving.

Even then it means you would have alot of crankcase pressure to force all that oil out.

possibly coming from headgasket towards the back of the block, near the dipstick tube.

i'd try some new standard head bolts as a cheap way to solve this if it is the case.

could be rear crankcase seal as these are common to go ive heard

other than its a lot of amount to lose, and would start looking deeper into it

i take it it was on min when you checked it and the engine wass tone cold

I only managed 36 MPG on crusing as well this weekend, last year it was 37.5 at a steady 80mph

Thought i was going to do more oil than petrol this weekend
