Default what track car?

if you wanted a non ford track car with abit of road use with say a 5k budget to start off what would you go for and why ?!?!?!

Nova redtop cheap as chips loads of fun plus so easy to work on and fix 10/10

you can buy my puma for 3k.

H&R coilovers, full Piper racing puma exhaust - 4-2-1 manifold, sport cat and 3.5" rear pipe, 4x4 cosworth front brakes.

handles well and doesnt go too bad. set of cams and throttle bodies should see a good 180bhp with a remap

depends how far you want to go down the route of making it a track car rather than a road car, it soon becomes no use as a road car.

£5k starting point gets u;

a very good Nissan 200 S14 touring, possibly with some suspension/brake upgrades

a decent early Impreza, but you need bigger brakes off a MY00 or later

an early E36 M3 3.0

have tried quite a few of car in this price range as track cars best thing you could get imho would be a Honda Integra Type R, hard to beat, very quick, reliable, load of fun to drive.....
