Default Old/Forgotten Sitcoms

Been watching Rab C Nesbitt quite a bit recently on one of the Paramount channels. Had been thinking before then how I'd not seen it for some years, I used to love it. I think it's quality, even if I can't understand half of what's being said in it

Then on another channel the other day, I watched Desmonds. Forgot about that, not seen that in probably 15 years, lol

And then early in the morning before work on UKTV Gold we've been having 2point4 Children. Some of that's pretty funny, and was a bit before its time really as it started in 1991 and is rather surreal

Any more?

i remember alot of the less ones like dear john, no place like home, home to roost, the two of us (with nicholas lyndhurst), brothers mcgregor, the front line, and there was "Thats Love" with tony slattery on ITV early 90's which was really good but its never repeated.

I remember the theme tune to Dear John, but can't remember the programme off the top of my head now. No Place Like Home was good, with Martin Clunes in the earlier ones. Home To Roost was a good one as well with John Thaw. Seen both of those in fairly recent times on Sky. Not seen The Two Of Us for years, didn't they drive a Citroen 2CV in that, lol?

There was one on years ago called Perfect World. It was a BBC programme I think, and had Paul Kaye, of Dennis Pennis fame in it.

Was based in a marketing office, and was proper funny, although very controversial at times.

I've been trying to find it on DVD for years.

Am going to have another look for it tonight now.

Look it up!!

Yeah that was a good series. I liked the 2nd Matt too tbh. He seemed totally different to the 1st, but was still funny when that gay bloke who was trying to help him go out and get back to normal fancied him, lol

Yeah was thinking of Brush Strokes earlier

What about A Bit Of A Do with David Jason? Not sure if that was a sitcom, maybe more comedy drama?

French Fields as well, and May To December

And every Thursday night (and repeated Sunday) on Men & Motors, I've been watching Boon. Class program, but again, not a sitcom, supposedly a drama, but comedy drama really, very funny, especially the Brummie accents, lol
