Default combustion chambers (zetec)

hi,im planning on building a zetec turbo engine, and i have sorced all the bottom end parts from the states (je pistons, eagle rods) the pistons give a compression ratio of 9-1 with a 48cc zetec head, but i really want to alter the comp ratio to about 7.9-1 or 8.1-1.

so the question i want to ask is has anyone had a zetec head combustion chamber modified /machined to get the desired comp ratio?? is the enough metal there to do this? and the last one,if i was to get the pistons machined would this be safe or would the crowns of the pistons go to thin.....thanks

48cc is the size of the ST170 combustion chamber - a standard zetec is something like 52 iirc? so that gives you a head start

i think i'll get a set of these forged Eagle rods soon, just to put to one side for if and when i have the bottom end apart. they stop making them or if the yanks twig on and rocket the price.

only about Ł180 a set of 4 arent they?
