People shouldnt be allowed to buy powerful bikes etc if they are that incompetant! Imagine if he'd have got further then slid under some poor fuckers car!

Also, given his ability/control at low speed, whatever would he be like at 150-160!!

hes been riding for years mate and only rode from the back lane to round the front of the house.

He used it as an excuse to get it painted.

Reminds me of the time a guy bought a Blade from a mate of mine.

He didnt want to ride it home, so his mate offered. We put the bike on the road outside, fired it up, let it warm up.

The guy jumped on, clicked it into gear & took off, flat out in first to the redline, clicked into second & whoops.....yes that was a roundabout you just hit.....lol

Took out 2 curb stones, 2 of the white/black arrow signs from the roundabout, bent the bike completey out of shape, frame, wheels, cracked motor....& just got up like nothing happerned....fookin mad....lol

So how in the hell do you get rid of this 'Glaze'? Is it by just simply being switched on and riding it or are there other ways of getting round this?

burn it off or just ride it VERY carefully for a few hundred miles

would make a bit of sense to get a feel for a new bike anyway!!!
should at least get used to it before giving full twist!

Same here m8. I know that you have to go easy with new tyres especially on bikes, but i didn`t think it would go that easily...

That looks like it was caused by more than just new tyres to me. Looks like there may have been something on the tyre (maybe oil/grease from workshop), or maybe some grit in the car park.

Either way, bloody bad luck.

And he was giving that much throttle at all, as if he did he would have been 10 foot in the air instead.

Don't fault the rider, who was in full gear and seems to me just washed out due to something on the surface. Oil, water, gravel. It happens.

The wax (glaze) on new tyres can be hazardous but melts away after the first heat cycle. Probably within 2-3 minutes of riding, it is just wax FFS. A few hundred miles, I LOL'd.

This is Dani Pedrosa, MotoGP rider with the factory HONDA team. Accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere. 200HP is serious power on a bike.

I have just done the same fkn thing this morning! Gutted, mine had the wrong tyre on it and was going to put right one on, 180/55/17 dunno why he had it on. Think it was for turning in quicker on the track but it was cooked and i thought better get rid of that.................end of road pull away and vrooooom bang screech! grrrrrr only picked it up last night, all the r+g crash protectors did their job though.
