i was always under the impression mahles were forged?

I am wondering the same. I need some for my rebuild possibly and the people I spoke to list cast as standard and forged as an option.

they are forged but are very different from the forged pistons from Cosworth/JE etc

Defo forged(as are the rods), but use a slightly different technique, still good pistons, though not the best.

Not forged, half forged, same as the ringer 500s with the numbers stamped up
