I am Arranging a Rally Day for anyone who is intrested

Stricktly NO Rally Drivers are allowed

There are a lot of people on PassionFord who think they are gods on the tracks so this has been put together so that it can test peoples driving skills to see how well they can adapt to a diffrent Driving Style.

The Venue is a disused airfield in cumbria

Its not a fast top speed venue but is very technical and tricky track with Broken Concrete, loose gravvel and slippy surface especially if wet.

the Circuit is about 2 miles long in total so there will be a lot to think about.

everything would be taken care of in regards of times being kept and people getting there own fair share of time out in the cars

There will be 3 Ford Pumas, Each puma is has a 1.7 standard engine and the cars are stripped out with bucket seats, harness's and a rear weld in roll cages







The Venue, Cars, tyres, Fuel as well as a Focus WRC Simulator "if people get bored" And a passenger Lap in a GRP A Rally Car at the end of the day all included

There will be 2 eazy up gazebos with a Buffet spread with sandwiches, pies crisps drinks tea coffe etc Also with the use of a kettle & microwave

£150 each for the whole turn out, spectators welcome and im sure there are a few photography peeps on here who would probebly come to take a few snaps

This was started on another topic and a list was made on there so dont think there is an Favoritism going on...

there are 20 places on a first come first serve basis

once dates are confimed deposits will be taken and then payment will be needed when everything is finalised and its all defanetly going to happen

How are you going to be accepting payment considering theres only 11 days before the event? Dont forget it takes 3days+ for a cheque to clear! Its just I dont want to know where I'm going at the very last minute!! LOL

the reason for another thread is because he old one has been closed as people dont want to go through the 6 pages of cr*p so this way im hoping within the next day or so i can start getting payment via Paypal, cheques, postalorders, bank transfers, direct money deposits into a bank account ect...

and as far as the date not being set that was just a copy and paste from the old topic clearly anyone can see in the tital and in the first post when the day and date is

at the end of the day lee i cant make people come so im just trying to do everything i can befor its caled off because there arnt enough people to make it work

lets just hope by friday we have 20 people and payment can be send/paid

i may also have withdraw due to putting a hole in my hand and have been told not to drive for at least a minimum of 3 weeks

Can you put up the address for the airfield, as Mike needs to find an airport that is nearby that he can fly from Switzerland to.

It looks as though Newcastle is no good, as there are no flights to there from Basel. Just wanted to see how far away the Leeds Airport was.

TF has said that he wont give anyone the address till they have paid, trouble is I was also looking at flying and its kind of hard make arrangements to fly and get onward transport sorted from the airport when you dont know where the fuck you are going to, and potentially it might not actually even be viable based on flights etc depending on where it is.

Why is it such a problem people knowing where it is Tim, whats with all the secrecy, is there no permission off the council to run the day or something?

Newcastle is the best place or Glasgow tbh to fly into, its about 10 mile from carlisle where the said day will be so hotels in carlisle would be ideal

im sorry to say im going to have to pull out, i really wanted to do this but travelling nearly a 6 hour drive by myself, hotels etc just isnt seeming logical now, i thought it was only half this distance and fuel will cost the earth in my van, sorry guys

I didnt know you was having problems finding a way of getting there, if you want to fly in to stansted the day befor "friday" i will pick you and your mate up and we can drive up and stay in a hotel, im sure mike will be comming the night before we can make an evening out of it

as i said i do not know where the place is and i have sent Tim a PM asking for details

if you still dont want to come i totaly understand and no payment is needed at all mate!

I really hate to do this but I have to pull out, I managed to tear my Peroneal Tendon away from the bone in my foot yesterday. It is extremely painfull and I can just about walk on it but not for very long so there is no chance of me driving a normal road car let alone Rally Car at speed.
As you can see form the photo below there is just a swallon mass where my angle used to be!!
I'm really upset i'll miss it I was well looking forward to it and if there's one in the future remember to put my name down.

just to update,

ive been in hospital for best part of two days,sarah has had our little boy now and all is well.

he was due on the 12th of april but has come early thank god,

i had it covered by my staff but can now put my full efforts into it,

best place to stay is carlisle,gosling bridge on scotland road or the holiday in,

the venue is less than 10 miles north of carlisle.

the reason i am not making the venue public is
A,the land owner does not want to be upset at all by car loads of folk not involved turning up.

B,we are not covered by insurance for spectators as this would require marshals and a different level of cover,one we could not afford to run the day on if we had spectators.its expensive enough as it is!!

C,its not a spectator type day,its a private day for the benefit of those paying to take part.we want to concentrate on providing a good days fun with out having to worry about groups turning up.any spectator arriving mid session could run the risk of going on private land or an area we do not use,there are animals and lambs on one area we do not go on,if anyone was to drive a car in this area the land owner would stop the day and ask everybody to leave.we are fine on our area and by accessing our entrance as it seperate but anyone not having the instrucyions ben will be supplying would not know how to access the venue.

D,there is no extra parking facilities or toilet facilities for extra people other than the booked on group which does cover a friend or other half,we are not that draconion dont worry!

E,iam not feeding and watering 35,000 members off here.LOL.


if its a success,which iam sure it ill be,it wont be the only event we organize so dont panic to much.

With regards to the venue, why not just put it up and say:

PAYING PARTICIPANTS ONLY, SPECTATORS WILL BE TURNED AWAY

Or similar, I cant see anyone driving a couple of hundred miles to somewhere just to know they arent going to be allowed in anyway!

Chip, venues like this sometimes don't have a gateman employed to turn away unwanted guests. It's not as if your going to a traditional place like Brands Hatch or Donington etc with big facilities and gatehouse security etc.

It will be an unrestricted area, so keeping the location to a select few is the norm.
