I've been having the same problem for about 5 hours today...... gave up in the end.

Not the HP WiFi printer from PC World/Currys on half price offer is it (was £159.99 reduced to £79.99)????

Lexmark are shite....end of -cartridges aint cheap either compared to others - I know this doesnt help you now - but just thought I'd add a bit of insult to injury in the hope that you might post up pics of a Lexmark shaped hole in the nearest window!!!

Do you use DHCP or did you put an IP Address onto your PC's?
If you do not know the answer to this my guess is it is DHCP.
Also Tiff are you using WEP security on your wireless network?

Tbh the Lexmark wasn't "working" properly for ages (had to feed each piece of paper in 1 sheet at a time or it'd jam up) and it just pushed me too far yesterday when trying to get it to link upto the laptop (all I wanted was to print off a V10 form from DVLA to tax the fookin Saff, would've been easier to just goto Postoffice and pic 1 up)..... The Epsom b4 that ended in similar fashion apart from the colour ink cartridge went all over the carpet and on 1 new piece of living room furnature.....lol.

I got the new HP 1 working on PC and laptop with the USB cable but gonna tackle the wireless with the laptop again after work tomorrow........ more distruction pics to follow tomorrow evening...lol

Tiff before you buy another or exchange the wireless printer, do you know that any printer can be made wireless? All you do is buy the printer you want and then buy a wireless print server. Now it may work out more expensive but you get a printer that you actually want and can also take the print server to your next printer.

Got mine working WiFi now!!!!!

I have 2 buttons under my "Orange Livebox".... I remembered that when connectioning my upstairs PC and laptop to the wireless hub I had to press button "1"..... Did it this time and the HP printer was found straight away and works spot on.... Makes the 5 hours yesterday trying to get itn connected sort of worth it now....lol

Steve

PS...

Good luck with yours Tiff
