After trying to unlock Dads Ecos from the cobra alarm fob after it had been sitting for a few months it kept un-locking and locking straight away, sticky solenoid so we opened it with the ford key and managed to open it. Sorted the sticky solenoid but now a red light above the clock comes on for about 30 secs then goes off !!!! Anyone know the sequence to de-activate the ford alarm using the key please.

red light shows a fault with c/locking (alarm) if it stays on like that mine does it sometimes but it always double locks and arms ford alarm. you can remove alarm switch from round lock barrels.try alarm test might help

one of the 3 solinoids is stuck/sticking, if they don't complete the operation the return to the original position,(hence what your seeing) just spray wd 40 into the linkages and you should get them working, don't forget the boot..
