actuator help........
right ive got a FRS and just changed the actuator for a forge one , and am running it direct to the compressor housing ,
but when ive come to set up the boost i cant get it to peak more than 19/20psi and want 22 psi but its at the end of the sleeve and cant put any more pre load on,
its got the right colour spring (blue) for this and the lads on the rsoc say it should have no where near that much pre load on to get 22psi, but it wont go up any more ,ive read for boost from the intet manifold and the compressor/actuator and its near as the same ,,
so any ideas??????
cheers Dan

you may have an air leak on the boost side of things, i have fitted a fair few with the Blue spring and never had an issue, although i dont go above 20 psi boost

but the boost is the same at the actuator ,how far past the waste gate pin is the hole for the actuator when u guys do it, mine was about the size of the hole past the pin
we set them up using a mityvac pump to open at the required pressure, so never really looked to be honest, normally lots of thread left visible on the actuator rod though.

eerrrmmmm.....Pumaspeed? In that case, check you have the correct rod length, it sound too short to me. Its a bit fiddly, but generally a straight forward job. Hope you have some proper equipment to adjust the boost properly, or you know what will happen
all the actuator fits fine and its long enough , and theres enough thred on the bar but not enough in the sleve , but lotusian said it should not be that far up the rod so he thinks my turbo is fooked as hes was and said it was due to lack of oil to the turbo
Is it smoking? Is there any oil in the compressor side? Just remove the pipe and have a look and feel for any gunk. Otherwise, it might be an issue with the wastegate. Its only a simple flap, so take the rod off it and open and close it to make sure its not jammed etc. Then start again.
Is it in safe mode? Try dissconnecting the battery over night, you may have pee'd it off a bit. Let it relearn and that may sort any issues you had with it not boosting properly. If nothing comes of it, pop to a body shop and ask to use an air line and their compressor. Then pressurise the system and look for any leaks.
Otherwise, you may have the wrong spring and its jamming the wastegate open...
