Default do not use interpro!

jus a warning to any one thinking of going to interpro DONT! i booked in for a rolling road set up at 9am unfortunatly a rad hose split on the way so i had to stop off and do a repair, let them know, i was informed to get there before 10 other wise they wouldnt have enough time to do it! i got there at 9.50 the hose was leaking still, they drove it into the workshop where i was told the hose was leaking, and they would need to sort it before continuing,
i sat patiently in the waiting room from 10-12.30 (asking what was going on, i was told nothing) i walked back and forth the workshiop the car sat idle on a jack for well over 1.5 hours! i then got told it was done, i said it hadnt been on the rollers, i havent got time now, the car driven round the front, i was then told i had a bill of £232.42

£198 of it was labour 2.5 hours to chnage one hoses from the thermostat, refill with coolant

i was utterly insulted, i questioned it but they were adament it took them 2.5 hours, now i know it dont take that long when it split i had it off repaired and back on and coolant in in under 20-30minutes!

i would warn anybody not to go there there attitude is appauling, and there prices are rediculous i had no other choice but to pay or not get the car back!

i was then offered another slot for a set and at least another £260

whihc i kindly refused, i am utterly disgusted

Be glad it didnt happen at TDI, it wouldve cost you twice as much labour and theydve prob changed half your car for new bits as they didnt understand how to use the old ones.

As above...trading standards will help.

I'm sure they'll want to know how a 20 min job can turn into a 2.5hr job!!

65 pounds an hour + VAT is perfectly acceptable IMHO, wouldnt pay that myself for basic spannering like this of course, but its less than most main dealers for example, but as martin says if they reckon it took them 2.5 hours to change a simple hose, then Id be calling trading standards if you can really do it in 20 mins on the same car.

When doing so, Id video someone taking it off and on again (not joking either!) just to show how simple it is.

This isn't the first bad thing i've heard about Interpro, was told to steer clear years ago infact!

Put it this was, they are about 60/90 mins away from me but instead I choose to travel 5/6 hours to visit MSD in Blackpool!

Very reasonable rate - most expensive BMW dealership is 185 PLUS VAT!!

I personally charge £40 all in

Well they could let it do that outside of course, but equally they could say they had to take 4 pipes off and inspect them before they were sure that was the only one leaking.

Sadly its VERY easy for a garage to make big money doing small jobs if they want to draw it out for the sake of it.

i se where you coming from chip, i dont think i have a case with trading standards but

they ddint ask me if i wanted the hose replaced, no price was given jus "we'll look at it"

i didint agree to the work i wouldve taken it off my self again and then bought a hose of them fitted then they couldve set it up

2.5 hours to chnage a hose from the thermosta housing to the rad on an rs turbo is taking the piss big time

They used to get an awful lot of business from most of us in the Black country rsoc, even did rolling road shoot outs there, but all of a sudden a few years back they seemed to get really greedy, prices shot through the roof, jobs seemed to be dragged out, and we all just stopped using them.

But 2.5 hours to change a top hose on an RS Turbo is pure fantasy! Its only 3 hose clips (if the turbos water cooled) and away you go. 20 minutes Tops, and that includes letting the engine run to bleed the air out of the system.

Funny how tuners reputations slip, isnt it?

Where did the new pipe come from mate? Did they go and get it?

Is there not some clause with some of these RR's that if you can't run you still have to pay anyway? On the basis that they would have sold the space to someone else...

I have not been there for a while, service level always used to depend on who you dealt with...

my friend had a very bad experience with them; he had a £3500 engine build (s2 rs turbo) done by them (think they called it a fast road engine) new hybrid turbo, cams, low comp pistons, chip etc; they put it on the rollers and it produced 155bhp; Simon (who still works there) said that was a good result.........i will never use them.

still no one to pay!!!!

its going good so far Dan, been a bit to busy but i'd rather that than be quiet. Had good feedback from all customers so far, got a load of the locals coming in who never really used P.E. because of old rumors!
so far everyone has been happy, thats the way i like it

Thumbs down My experiance of Interpro

Back in 1995 i purchased a 4x4 Sap Cosworth from Interpro which had full service history with loads of receipts etc for work done on the car which i seen with my own eyes.

I paid £7350.00 for the car.

When it came to pick the car up i was told the receipts were in a different office and to come back later in the week well after many phone calls i was eventually they had lost it all.

So i was so annoyed as i paid all this money for a car with no service history!!!!!

On the journey home the bottom half of the dash board fell out on my knees at a set of traffic lights as the old bill went by, i did look a tad bit suspicious looking at the steering column wandering what the hell was going on!!!!!

I was very disappointed with the service I received and have not and will not use there services again.
