alright dudes, going for my rolling road set up on friday at solent race and rally in portsmouth, if anyone in the south is interested what there like i will let you know friday night. or canm someone tell me in case im making a mistake?
anyone wanna have a guess as to what bhp i will/should make? got the norm, induction kit, stainlees exhaust, uprated fuel pump, uprated actuator, pace, beige injectors, 195bhp chip,
should make a min of 180 yeah?

what intercooler you running? charge temps will be the main factor, with that lot you could see 200bhp with a good cooler. also depends on compression/boost it can run safely

lol theres no problem, just you never seem to have much luck with your car and rollers. yeah il be up for it. gonna put my origional actuator on today as my new one seems 2 alter the boost when it likes. when i put it on i was running 1.4bar, now its dropped off to 1.0bar lol

what time r ya going on friday?

i got a pace intercooler on there, was going to put a spray bar on but i dunno it if's worth it? boost peeks at about 1 bar at the mo, but cos i haven't got the chip in this cause's it to over boost, did try it with the chip and no over boosting, but best set up before i go flying around with it in,
oh russ, fat barry at work wants a race, finally got him to put his Ł20 on it, now he's backing out because he brakes need sorting
why you wann know what time im going russ......you coming?

lol fat barry. he couldnt win a race if a free day at bakery was on offer. might consider going as i need the cossie set up pretty soon ish, but working nights and not getting up 2 early lol

fingers crossed.
just fitted the beige injectors, havn't fitted the chip gunna do that in a mine when rain stops, started it up to check for leaks, aint got none thank fuck, but even after driving down my road and back its lumpy as fuck and wants to stall when you slow down, anyone else had this? hope it sorts it self out when chip is in and they better be able to get it running better than that tomorrow

sounds like u gotta leak. mine drove fine with beige injectors and no chip, when i swapped the injectors back 2 standard ones i didnt replace the o rings and it was lumpy, but u could see the fuel pissing out

yeah i remember that, they were my blues and i help ya fit them, lol
na it smooth now when driving, even feels a bit better , but when i slow it wants to stall, i thought of a leak mabey on 1 of the 2 vac pipes, checked the one going in under the inlet and the one from the breather to the head, no leaks there, only thing i can think of is the K+N breather i fitted.
but then i fitted that to the pipe that normaly goes to the air filter and the main breather ( black thing) has a non return valve so its not drawing in air there, but mabey it needs to draw it from the breather into the air filter to idle right?
oh well sod it, to late and to dark to piss about now, see what happens tomorrow, taking some spare bits incase i have to change the breather round, fingers crossed this time it can be sorted, dont wanna pay another Ł42 fucking quid on the ferry!!!

cheers to everyone who made a guess at the BHP, one thing, were you refuring to the bhp at the fly wheel or at the wheels? would like people to say so i can see if the power i made was right or not.
yeah got it sorted now, not gunna say what it made just yet but it seems i may have a prob with my chip , has a 195 chip got a boost limit? he tried setting it up to run 15psi but it wasn't having it, kept over boosting as the psi was going to 18 and that was when the over boost cut in, and for some reason he said the chip isn't giving the fuel it needs so he had to adjust the fuel pressure up a tad.
he got it idleing sweet as a nut, top on now, it did idle a little better when the chip was in but it turns out that power engineering had adjusted the co2 and fuel pressure last time i was there, this was becuase the pump was fucked and they done it to make it run a little better on the way home.
runs sweet as now and goes very well, haven't real tested it yet but will do

if i had that at the wheels russ i would love it, but i aint
my BHP was measured at the wheels yesterday,
im guessing that everone has given the guess at the fly wheel, and to be honest, i dont think i even made that at the flywheel, but might of i dunno,
i have another post up asking the BHP loss through the gear box so i can estimate the bhp at the fly wheel, wanna have a guess russ

road tested it, fuck me, having it run like shit for 2 years really shows the difference, i will say one thing russ, if it had been able to run with 15PSI not 12, i would have 30BHP more at the wheels, i know this because i watch it peek before it over boosted and seeing what the max it made on the last run i know it can do more, if only i could sort the fucking overboosting

i had a fiesta it was makin 133@wheels with a chip exhaust and a cam(170ish@fly)
could only boost 11psi
u sure its a stage 2 chip? as u need it to run injectors
could be a stage 1 which in mine would only let u overboost to 13psi hope this helps m8

yeah its a 195 phase 1 superchip, the actuator was set at 12 psi, he tried to up the psi by fitting the bleed valve, made a bit of differnce but not much, thinking about it, shouldn't the bleed vlave be put in place before the amal valve not after?

russ, if i could get the boost to hold at 15 like it should, then yeah it would, it made 142 at the wheels at 15 psi but that was peek but over boosted as the boost wouldn't hold at 15 and kept going up
once he had turned it down (to around 11.5/12 psi) and adjusted the fuel etc it made a very unimpressive 123 BHP at the wheels
he thinks my chip is a bit wank so i need to get it checked, it might be the pin i had to bend back out as the person i got it from didn't tell me one was bent right in it might not be making a good contact, but gunna leave it incase i break it off
i know it will do the 142bhp cos i watched it got to that on the gauge before over boost

still give ya that race though russ, be interesting to see how i macth up to ya, i know i wont win but its the taking part that counts

if i race for log books mate i will race dirty , you would never stand a chance then LOL.
fat boy has backed out of the race now, he is having doubts his volvo will win, it only Ł20, whats up with him? better in my pocket than his ha ha ha ha.
tell ya what mate, i raced 4 different cars (cossie who chickened it on the way back down, FRST,ERST and a transam) whooped the lot of them, did use a lot of fuel though .
win or loss mate im still up for it, be good to know how i stand up to a 356BHP cossie
