Blocked Ears
Anyone know anything that unblocks ears decently?
Ears felt a bit blocked so been using some eardrops for a few days and its made em worse, almost deaf in my left ear
I syringed em like they do at the docs the other day and 2 big bits the size of fookin peas came out, but since then they feel more blocked than ever
Booked an appointment with the nurse but thats not till next monday.
Any ideas howe to sort em till then, its fookin bad

I suffered once from it yearsssssssssss ago. and was bad dug load of wax out and when i done it was like a load of fresh air rushing back into my ears
Though they been fine now for well, more than 5 years!

Dont stick cotton buds in, youl just push it further.
Somthing really thin like a bit of wire to help loosen it then a syringe full of warm soapy water to wash it out can work if youn know what you doing, i got 2 bits the size of peas out the other day
But nothing touch's what the doc can do, give em 10mins and they get chunks out about 1cm thick and about and inch long

Warm olive oil, sounds a bit but it can work a treat but if they're too blocked then doctors it is for syringing. Wouldn't recommend doing it yourself though

No harm in doing the syringing yourself, its not like they use a needle
But youl never do it as good as them as they use that thing to look in your ear too.
I only got a little syringe (yannow, from the heroin ) but i got some out, but nowhere near enough tho.
(and the syringe is one i stole from the dogs medicene )
That olive oil thing is meant to be at least as good as most ear drops, better than some.

That Audiclean stuff the advertise on telly is FOOKING SHITE!!!!! Its fookin sea water in a can - and it cost Ł7!
Been deaf as a post on one side for weeks now. Tried that audiclean crap - just hurt like fook and made me even deaffer. Been syringed - lasted about 2 hours!
Doc thinks the ear canal is infected and gave me antibiotic eardrops that seem to be helping.
What she actually did was looked in my ear and said "URGH!"
Go to the Docs and DONT shove things in your ear - especially a piece of wire!

The doc wont shringe ya ears without you doing the olive oil trick for a few days first anyways in most cases.

Steve, I had it for a week and it drove me mad. Had to put olive oil in me ears for a week before the doc would syringe. Now I use candles with the beautician where my wife works but it does work. You maybe able to get some from the bodyshop or boots. Best get them done at the beauty place followed by a massage

Ear candling is very effective in relieving blocked wax and congested sinuses. Any "problems" with ears, throat, head, sinuses can get alleviated with ear candling.
We use a hollow cotton cloth candle that has been rolled into beeswax and honey. The warmth of the burning candle softens the wax and there is like a vacuum effect created which then draws some wax out. Very effective, painfree and very relaxing too.
Some doctors / nurses have started to recommend it instead of serynging, which can actually be a bit dangerous.
Let me know if you need more info.

what do you want to know?
As I said, they are cotton rolled in pure beeswax and honey extract. There is also sage, Camomille and St John's Wort essential oils. They are hollow and have a red line marking around the candle (maximum burning) and a safety filter which stops debris from entering the ear canal.
They have mainly a physical function. There is a light chimney effect and the movement of the burning flame create a sort of vibration of air in the candle. Its like massaging the eardrum.
It helps rebalance the pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses. It is very sooting and relaxing and helps a lot of conditions, earache, headache, ear noise, stress, frequent colds, hayfever....
You place the candle at the opening of the ear canal and light it up. It burns very slowly without producing any residue. Each candle burns for about 10 minutes. Once brunt out, you gently massage the ear and dsurrounding area. You treat both ears at the same time. After that, you have a light face massage which helps unblock sinuses... and set things moving. After about 15mn of rest, you can then slowly sit up and you're done!
If you have your ear serynged tho, will have to wait a little while as the ear would be slightly too sensitive...
