also the career life is short on a footballer and they dont earn the money straight away, so unless you hang it out like sheringham or maldinithen you will only get 15-16 years earning this money.

many dont do anything after or they just lose it [merson]

Its the same for a Snooker player, guitarist or racing driver like Lewis Hamilton. If it was simple to be that good then every fucker would be but they aren't and that why they get rewards. How physically hard or 'draining' it may be compared to other every day jobs means fuck all.
a formula 1 driver like lewis is totally diffrent they go out and drive cars at
crazy speeds with hradly any protection each race could result in serious injury or even death,

footballers prance about a pitch for 90 mins and get stupid amounts of cash

but how much do they earn in that 15-16 yrs a hell of a lot more than an average guy who works 40 year before he can retire

Got no idea how old you are, 10 or 60 but i tell you what, you go and be a premiership footballer then and earn that money. Go on i will give you 20 years to do it. Let me know when you do. (never). That is why they get paid that much. It's the whole picture not just what they do on the Saturday.
i'm 24 mate and ive work as hard as fuck to get to where i am today, and now i am earning good money and i kno i work hard for it, ok maybe i'm not premiership material so what, i kno for a fact that probably 95% of footballers couldnt do my job because there thick as shite

But you're still missing the fucking point!!!!!!

Those examples are things you have to spend years on from a young child. Its all the same and that is why they earn that money and you and i don't. People who work in shops for example, they earn little because there is nothing to it and anyone can do it.

You don't like football, you think they do little to earn their money on match days etc, fine, but you still can't do it can you and never will at that level. You have a much better chance doing those other jobs and being competent at it.

Don't know what you do mate but i bet it still takes a lot less training or studying time that it does to get upto their level at what they do. Hence why they earn more coupled with the fact it is so popular.

Maybe not in terms of 'hard work' but it terms of talent yes. Talent earns £££££. The shit ones still have to work or don't get that much. By your logic bending down flower picking in cold rainy fields should get get thousands a week but they don't because anyone can do it and that's what counts when it comes to wages pretty much.

So you are saying, that them players are worth double the average salary, a week?
Please justify how a player can be worth being paid £50k a week, because I cant see it

No not in my mind based on the ACTUAL activity they do but yes because they are being rewarded for a talent with not everyone can do and because that talent is in such a big business, football.

They wages are set by what that business generates and so they are the main feature and get paid accordingly, or the best ones do.

I feel i'm going round in circles here because people are rating it upon how hard the physical exercise of the job is and not how hard it is in terms of time needed to get there or skill.

If you invented something amazing tomorrow that only you could do or few people then you'd be very rich too, even if the actual task wasn't hard work.

Well they are because they are centre stage in the biggest sport in the world and not everyone can do. Hence their 'worth'. I think what you mean to say mate is that you can do the physical activity and so don't think its worth that much money, you just can't do it anywhere near the level they can.

An Escos isn't worth 12-20k on paper when you look at what it actually is but it is due to rarity, demand, popularity etc. There are many people out there who think they are shit and overpriced, same thing.

youn think they rich,,,,,,, what about the man whos bankroling them players wage slips

the point a company is paying hes staff 100k a week,,,,,,,, thats a VERY VERY rich man

though to be fair looking at the price of arsenal season tickets ect,,,,,,,,, tickets should be sold for less ad footballers paied less too !!!

they dont need the money at all, they generally waste it aswell

I'm not going to debate every point of it, they do have an easy life. I realise you're point i just hope you get mine. Jobs are not necessarily rewarded for how much they make you ache at the end of the shift.

hamilton spend ages driving when he was a nipper to get spotted, and now he's doing what he does

they should never have lifted the cap on wages, jimmy hill was a twat back then

there are clearly enough people who aint bothered how much they get paid as they go and watch them every week and travel across the country to do so.
its us that pays their wages at the end of the day.

lampard is getting nearly 20k a day, and if u ask me no person is worth that what ever they do. but if chelsea are happy to pay that and the fans keep turning up to watch then its gonna keep happening.

also notice how there isnt one arsenal player on there.
but arsenals season tickets are the most expensive in the league and there is a massive waiting list for them.
thousands of people will pay a lot of money to watch a game.

whats more crazy a seriously tallented footballer getting paid what they do for playing football. or average joe from north london paying £1500 to watch 30 hours of football?
