rs2000 use slightly bigger calliper and 260mm disc, 3i uses 240mm disc iirc

i fitted rs2000 ones to my esc cabby anyway

if you want good brakes tho, fit 4x4 cossy ones

I have a stuck drivers side caliper, i'm not sure if i have XR or RS brakes on there...

if i fit an xr3i caliper, but rs2000 discs and pads, it should be okay yeah?

i might do an upgrade at some point, but i'm broke and just need it back on teh road till i start my new job!!, if i wanted 4x4 cossie ones, id need calipers, discs and pads and prob new wheels lol =]

lol thanks for the advice, i got a funny feeling it might just have XR brakes on there, but i'll have to get my mate to measure the discs who is looking after the car.

it was kinda an unfinished conversion so it wouldn't suprise me lol... it's pretty punchey and someone i took it too thought the engine was modified as well, but it is shocking at stopping and handling :s

it's like a boat with a sail, gets pushed about in the wind and stuff, but i guess its all down to the idiot who put an rs2k engine in a cab anyway LOL.

so i guess now we have to work out what size brakes is on an rs and what size brakes you get on an xr!

ps dodgy handling will be most likely down tot he lower suspension arms shot - they are piss on the escort, especially if its lowered

mine was lowered 40mm i think it was and it ate a pair of tyres every 2 months on the inside edge,

so i got fucked off and i got a set of lower arms and moved the ball joint in 10mm each side, and they are polybushed - and i still have them in the shed if you want em for Ł30?

in swindon too

saph brakes need 3x 10mm washers to space the callipers out, and thats it - bolt on job!

see this months FF for how to fit them!
