Default Laptop screen replacement?

Right the screen on laptop has gone, so im trying to post this without actually being able t see it very well as the screen is all grey and blurry and very hard to make out!

ITs just over a year old, so out of guarantee and just rang local pc shop who said it will need the full lcd unit replacing, which starts from £150 upwards

the laptop was only £300

anyone whos into pc's etc know anywhere cheap and fast who could maybe repairr it cheaper than that? its a nightmare as trying to break the evo on MLR and cant even read the replies without highlighting them to read whats written

thanks,

Sarah

Surely worth a go contacting the manufacturer in case they can do something a bit cheaper.

Hang on a tick .... how are they going to know what replies people have written

Might be the inverter board, common fault. I repair laptops for a living.

About £50 all in to fix
