Some prick drove into the side of my girlfriends car today the car is well mullered down the drivers side He was on a motorbike and he failed to stop she took his reg which the police checked up on and surprise surprise the bike has just been sold and not registered been out looking for sed prick but alls silent..........Just want to know is there anyway i can get an address from a registration if anyone knows tell me or pm me

Write to the DVLA and explain what happened .

They will send you an application form as to why you want the address etc also you have to have reported it to the police station which you obviously have SO GET THE CRIME NUMBER

Send the form of to DVLA along with a cheque for £3.50 and they will give you the address


I know this works because I done it when I tried to buy my old bike back

Yeh shes been to hospital and shes fine thank god,But what gets me most is that this scum will be sat at home thinking hes got away with it

Nah m8 the way i see its the usual story report the bike stolen or say youv just sold it nobody can prove otherwise I think the registered keeper will either be the guy who hit my girlfriend or he will know who did

not good mate, glad she's alright but. an addy from the Regi wontbe any good if it's not registered, may be lucky and he will get round to registering it or he's maybe alredy sent it away and jus not go tto dvla yet! would be ok if she recognised him as it could of been the previous owner saying he's jus sold it when infact it was him who was involved hope u find the poof

When you sell a vehicle, it is up to YOU, the owner at the time) to send off all the relevant forms with the new owners details. If this hasn't been done then the legal owner at the time of the accident is responsible for the vehicle. Quite simple.

If your girlfriend is injured and wishes to persue a claim for damages resulting from this accident, don't be afraid to drop me a PM. Even if the bike is un-insured, she can still claim.

Just pisses me right off cos shes only third party f+t so she cant claim a thing Just makes me wonder about our oh so efficiant police force they aint even been to see her yet.....Probably to busy sat at the side of a road wiv a speed gun in hand solving proper crimes why arnt they doing more stop and search and handing out producers to get these uninsured wankers off the road

had this a few weeks back , some old codger in a new golf estate ran down the side of my van and pushed me on the kurb . i gave chase but had 2 flat tyres so couldnt catch the coont , got his number and reported it , got a letter 2 days ago to say the driver denies all knowledge of said incident
luckily for me i know someone who has got me his address from the vehicle reg
give me the reg and a couple of days and it shouldnt be a problem .

PLEASE B4 everyone jumps on the bandwaggon , no i cant do this for everyone as it might seem a bit obvious if checks are done on vehicle reg no's and a couple of days later the owners report being asaulted .
