roll saff=sleep like a baby
roll escos=cry yourself to sleep for days

i like both, have driven both and the only reason i wouldnt have an escos is the fear of bending it(same for 3door/500).

couldnt handle taking my car on track and not pushing it as hard as i could.

Still nobody has explained...

4x4 Saff 0-60 = 6.6 seconds.
Escos 0-60 = 5.7 seconds.

And the Escos is HEAVIER??

220 vs 227?

Are small turbo Escos and large turbo Escos both quoted 5.7 secs? I'm pretty sure they are right?

Quoted 0-60 times aren't always accurate mind...

I waited ten years to get my Escos, I had a saph before and the Escort is much better in every way as far as im concerned. saphs look dated, and my escos feels much more steady round corners. Egery time i drive it it puts a smile on my face. 3 doors stll look the nuts but i cant comment on the drive because ive never been in one.

Large turbo is 5.9 IIRC, small is 5.7. Don't forget compared to a saff they have a big midrange boost spike to help as well , belive big turbo is 3 secs and smal turbo is 8 seconds of "overboost" ?

How come the EsCos has this spike and a Sapphire doesn't?

the escos has closed loop boot control which allows overboost in the midrange. the saphs use a basic bleed off method to control boost - which isn't mappable as such.

Escorts have wider wheels as standard, could be down to better grip off the line?

again, power wise the escos will make more power, but once rolling the saph will be quicker due to it being a slippier shape - the big front and rear spoilers on the escos DO make a big difference to the amount of drag, but you can also feel them working when high speed cornering

Escort Cossie all the way!

I am slighty biased though as I've always wanted one since I sat in one at a Ford showroom when they first came out - I was 10 at the time lol........ 15 years later i'm still waiting

One day though.........
