Default help brakes on 2wd saff cosworth

can anyone help or has anyone experianced problems with brakes?
i was driving my sierra last night and the brakes were working perfectly then with out any notice the brake peddal went rock hard and the brakes didnt work propaly? have any one experianced this any help would be gratefully recived

yep have had this and it was the relay under the passenger side dash m8, changed it for new and all was ok.

Have also heard of this ASB relay cheap and easy place to start lol

I used to have this problem as I ran no turbo sheild and the whole area round the fluid bottle would get too hot
