basically on the 12 january i bought a turbo from a guy called chink in the for sale section,on this site. he was selling a T34.63 for his mate. he cashed my cheque and it cleared on the 16th of january. and it is now the 25th of february and he still hasnt sent it (40 days later) ive hassled him nearly everday for the past 5 weeks texting him and phoning him and he wont reply. what would you guys do??? this is stealing in my eyes. any advice would be gratefull.

yeh ive tried phoning his mobile and his work mobile many of times and suprise suprise he never answers.

small claims court, you can also add your expenses on top. so long as he cashed the cheque in his account, he really can't get away with it, although he can decide what court it is heard at, how far away does he live?

i think the mate he was selling it for might be the guy who did the same to another pf user last year and ended up banned so is still no better, if i'm wrong i will stand corrected

Sounds like a civil dispute to me at this time. Go to the citizens advice bureau and they will be able to advise you on ways of civil remedy. Not enough evidence at this time to suggest that any crime has taken place..he might just be lousy at sending stuff out and not very good on customer service side of things.

imo i would never send a cheque to any one unless it was thought paypal and your coverd 100%. many people have been ripped off on this site and though ebay when will people learn.

chink, the guy who has the account on here is'nt the problem its his mate pete, chink has actually been very helpfull but he's going to end up getting a bad name because of his mate. i had to send a cheque because apparently he dose'nt use paypal. he lives in wakefield and i live in a tiny village called hartland in north devon. so its quite a long way from me. dont know what to do apart from hassle him and wait.

the reason i havent been on is due to shitty orange i cannot get on passionford nomore, and the cheque was paid into petes account, i have told pete hes an arse and i totaly appologise for his actions and i certanly wont do it again, i do beleave it has been posted and should be at his anytime!! i have not been ignoring him i could'nt even get into my private mails to phone him and explain, i hope everything is sorted now and there was no reason to start bringing the boys i would'nt let pete pull his pants down
