My cars been off the road for a while, almost 3 years infact, and I'm at the stage where i need to get it MOT'd. Can anyone reccomend any decent garages they regularly use in the north east for MOT's a nd work??? I need to get the brakes etc checked over as I've had the car stripped in almost every aspect and i want to make sure nothing is loose/leaking so I don't want to put it to some back street geeza only for a wheel to come off, not that i don't trust my own work.
Secondly, i THINK my car migt need a cat, but I'm not 100% sure, the car was imported and it says 93 on the reg. document but i remember ford saying it was a 92??? Can anyone clear this up?

strict is good tho?? specially with a cossie? except like me when you want a hyd handbrake passed ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
if your car is ok then strict is good. just have it well prepped before hand![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
they did my maxo on fri and i have a feeling they never retested it fully as they didnt mention freeing off the brake valve which it failed on
i had taken it away then they took it back to do a wee weld on.

i'll ask the boy if he wants to work on yours. be specific tho, what do you want done? can you drive the car to him? or need it trailered?

I'd need it trailered, i'll be all together, i might just take it to lochside to get done but i can't drive it home if it doesn't pass.....(gutted) It just needs a new radiator fitted, and the rear bleed nipples and brake lines changed (they're both seized into the calipers) not trying to take them out as I had a c11nt of a job @ the front and ended up having to take them to a machine shop after i snapped them off, not really a big job, i just can't be 4rsed with fiddly bits like that tbh
