Default ISCV question

Right got the car working and MOTd today

Got a problem which ive had for awhile to do with the Idle Speed Control Valve with my Focus inlet setup.

Basically once the car is up to temp the revs sort of stick and the car bogs down a loses power. Its fine when its cold with no sticky revs and loads of power.

Ive been told the revs sticking is down to the Focus ISCV not being compatible with the mondeo management. The solution is to get a ISCV off an Escort which im going to do.

But my question is would this cause a loss in power aswell? What does is ISCV doing differently when the car is up to temp compared to when its cold?

I'm not sure what year escort iscv you'll be using but there wank aswell, Infact all my escorts from early zetec to my 98 escort have been shit and doing exactly as you describe,

I'd be surprised if it was to do with the management tbh as it just sounds like the common fault of a gummed up iscv hth.

To a certain degree yes although maybe not as bad as you are suffering???
When hot sometimes trying to pull off quiick it seems as if someone took the fuel away for a second or 2

Mine seems to lose alot of power throughout the rev range compared to when its cold. But i spose it could just be more fucked than ones you have had.

Mine will stick at what revs you cahnge gear at. So say i change at 5k it will stay at 5k. Only way to bring the revs down is engage a gear and bring it down

It is a different TPS on the Focus inlet compared to the fiesta one. But wouldnt this cause the problem all the time rather than just when warm?
