its a horrible world out there....
just had a young lad in trying to sell his bmw 318 coupe.he only bought it a couple of weeks ago but doesnt like it and wants to buy his mates toyota starlet turbo.
a very very reasonable price was agreed subject to hpi check.hpi check shows up finance outstanding so i ring the finance co to find out the details.she tells me to be very wary as the finance was only taken out on the 11th feb this year.she asks me if his name is *********** and it is.
so out i go to tell him that he is either trying it on with me or getting well and truly turned over by someone else using his details-turns out to be the latter.........he has no idea,bought the car cash outside an address,didnt go in the house,the guy had no logbook,only an old green slip.!
he is obviously a little worried.looks like the guy has done a "log book loan" with the car in the buyers name,somehow.
just shows what some people will do.......

i too was alittle puzzled by it all........but he knew i was going into the house to run a hpi check on the car.if he knew it was going to come back with finance surely he would have drove off-just in case he got a clip on the back of the head for taking the piss!
he seemed very surprised,maybe he was trying to bluff me.......main thing is he didnt!
on the other hand he drove past me in the car earlier today..........and lives in one of the rougher areas in warrington,so who knows.
