how much would you charge to deliver your car to someone 60 miles away if they bought it? whats the going rate?

 

I'd say Ł150 is fair, cover ur fuel and a mates to get a lift back, also ur time

 

id say Ł100 if u got the cash u wanted for it

 

if you was to drive it there & a mate pick you up id say about Ł80 - 100

but if its trailer'd a wee bit more

 

well its actually gonna be a swap car for car but i said ill drive to him rather than him to me so its more to cover my fuel there and back

tbh if i'm getting just as much out of the deal as they are then i'd do it for nothing.....but i'm a nice guy

 

cos he's not insured on the car he's swapping cos he cant afford it so cant drive it. i said id deliver to make life easier plus i get a nice longish last drive in my car

 

I'd just tell him to make sure there's at least half a tank of fuel in the car you're getting and then leave it at that.

Tell him to stick Ł25 fuel in the car your getting off him so it will get you home and have a little left and jobs a good un.

 

Cost of the juice, cost of the train fare home (or mates juice there and back if getting a mate to drive behind you and take you home) plus I'd say at least another Ł1 per mile! So juice used (say Ł20 if you don't thrash it ) + Łwhatever for train back + Ł60 (60miles @ Ł1 per mile)

Was gonna say the same thing. It's only 60mile ffs. Hardly one end of the country to the other.

At a push I'd ask the guy to stick some fuel in the car I was picking up.

Tell him you'll fill your's up before you leave and whatever is in it when it gets there is his. In return you expect a full tank to be waiting for you in the car your picking up.

Well no it's not really. It's 120miles, and probably 2-3hrs of a day, plus whatever fuel a mate uses if you have one following you there to bring you back - if you do then it's actually 180miles of fuel + time, or if you are getting a train back it's 60miles of fuel + return cost + time. Seems fair to me

 

if you deliver it to him and ask him to top up the fuel tank on the car you are picking up (can't be more than Ł60 really can it?) and you'll top up the tank and whatever is left when it gets to his is hiw then you've not lost out and you've done the good deed etc

just don't spank it round a tree on the way during your last long drive in it

 

Tell him you want naked pix of his missus and you'll do it for fook all.
