Default Car went pop

I was driving down the road at about 45mph, when i heard a soft pop, then i lost all power and loads of smoke comes out the exhaust (mainly in 3rd & 4th gear) my first thought would be turbo.

Any ideas? the car is a MK4 Golf GT TDI

Thanks

Cambelt isn't snapped as the car still drives but slowly, besides it was only just changed, and i just had a service done

I'm hoping it is a boost hose popped off got a mechanic coming to look in the minute, well he said he'll be here at half 3

Exactly it snapped on my FRST and the car doesn't start let alone run if the belt has snapped.

Well the mechanic has just been and noticed the hose off, he's coming tomorrow to put it back on as i couldn't get any pliers down there to squeeze the clip.
