Money is not the issue your safety and keeping the car in one piece is get yourself a big brake kit sooner rather than later, 330bhp requires some 330 mm discs and 4 pot calipers up front,
most cossie owners will tell you big brakes are usually the last mod that they do, they should be the first my brakes have saved my bacon on more than one ocassion

you can only get about 310mm disks under escos rims.
standard size brakes are genrally shite, fade after a while, normaly warp if used hard a lot!!!
don't listen to people who say they can lock there brakes at 80mph, theres a difference between slowing down & skidding

but.... when your brake disks glow red after 20-25minutes of giving it some.....before brake fade.... THEN u consider getting new brakes....
if not its the pads lettin you down!!! i have QH pads i think, and as you can tell ive had the brake disks glowing cherry red with only slight brake fade!
all good bar when you stop at the side of the road and a copper goes past and looks at your bright red glowing disks

A change of pad material will be the cheapest and quickest option
We have a 310mm competition six pot kit that sits under 16" cossie rims for under £850 plus pads.
Or a Brembo 310mm 4 pot kit for under £800
Calipers, 2 piece discs, brackets, braided hoses and fitting kit all new. Pads specced depending on use required.

I have looked at the kit from NUTS RuS and a couple of others and they all look like good value.
I did about 12 laps of Brands Hatch last month on standard calipers, yellowstuff pads and drilled and grooved original size replacement discs. The braking power is good but not great and they started to fade on lap 6 or 7 and never recovered.
I know people say that with big power you need big brakes but the original Cossie set-up is pretty good in the first place. If you get to a situation on the road where you experience brake fade (the equivalent of 6 hard laps for me) then you are driving pretty damn hard.
Personally I think the major failing with the standard discs is that they warp. Replacement drilled or drilled/grooved discs help a lot. Mine are from an Ebay seller called mtec100 and they are very good quality and very good value.

On the subject of Focus RS brakes, the Focus RS discs are bigger and the calipers are Brembo. Can I use these on the Sapphire with brackets? Anybody know where to get brackets?

Change of fluid and pads should sort out fade on a road car.
A hard and fast driven road car will be better with an upgrade for the safety of all of us.
I have known yellows to fade on track after 1 warm up and 2 driving laps.
The reds appear to hold out much longer but are too hard for road use.
Charlie I get asked for those about 4 times a day and usually refer people back to Reyland Motorsport.
We have brackets to fit our own bigger Brembo kits but are not interested in the smaller FRS ones yet.

20K+ Super Poster.
Discs suffer from DTV rather than warping as said.
I found the yellow stuff better than the reds myself, as I faded the reds almost every day, only happened once on the yellows so far.
Anyone who talks about locking the wheels at 80 is a pillock IMO, larger discs means more cooling area as they get HOT along with the pads, larger alloy caliper again more cooling area, seprate discs/bells are so much better as they transmit heat away a lot better than steel does, so whole wheel can act as a heatsink.
Another advantage of larger discs is of course more leverage, but the old rule applies, they are simply friction to heat convertors get them hot enough and they will stop working, no matter what they are.
