Default what does this mean??

giving the car some lastnight, its not felt quite right for a while now. the revs seemed to stick when they got to 5000rpm in 3rd gear, almost like that was as fast as that gear could go?

its a 1989 escort rs turbo but i recently had a fiesta rs turbo gearbox put into it?

Probably just a plug related misfire on a couple of cylinders or similar, or does it feel totally normal other than the not accelerating?

i'd say it feels quite normal otherwise, when i come off the gas it tends to kangaroo a little bit, but nothing too major.

at first i thought it might be the clutch slipping due to high boost, its only running around 18psi though.

i know the car has more than what its giving at the moment!!

My superior technical diagnosis is:

Its a Ford, and most probably fucked

Seriously tho, get it checked in with MSD for a setup - you're only a few miles away at the most in Fleetwood

01253 508400 is the number

Nothing wrong with booking your car in for a checkup - the boys at MSD will no doubt find problems you didn't know existed - they did with my old Cossie

I think it was £135 inc vat for a checkup and diagnosis.

You're best to have all these little problems found - that way you'll have a reliable car that won't break at the slightest hint of 100mph
