giving the car some lastnight, its not felt quite right for a while now. the revs seemed to stick when they got to 5000rpm in 3rd gear, almost like that was as fast as that gear could go?

its a 1989 escort rs turbo but i recently had a fiesta rs turbo gearbox put into it?
